Khin

Born in Myanmar (Burma), Khin is a feminist activist, artist, poet, and technologist who was forced to flee her home country as a refugee following a military coup in February 2021 and the ensuing violent crackdown against pro-democracy and human rights activists. Khin’s art reflects the convergence of her ongoing activism and resistance with the personal trauma of having lost a home and her feelings of guilt over her relative safety and privilege. A manifestation of her resilience and outlet for processing her journey and emotions, Khin’s work challenges viewers to confront the human impact of political crisis and conflict and to become catalysts for change.
