Meet Wole
Wole Ajagbe is a DC-based producer, photographer, and filmmaker. His creative journey began 19 years ago, where he learned to capture images on film and develop them in a darkroom. Since then, he has incorporated capturing digital images and video into his creative repertoire.His work can be described as eclectic, synthesizing photography, video and graphic design to produce dynamic portraits and still life—with a core mission to delight the viewer over and over again. He draws inspiration from his cats, Rey and Ahsoka, along with the vibrant community of creatives that surrounds him.
Artist Statement:
We rarely discuss the delicate rawness of beginning. The moments we start anew are most defined by the endings we leave behind. Aftermath fills our view and challenges the vision of what can be. In this series, I make that argument that joy that inspires our resolve, despite what we see, to clear the rubble of the past and lay the foundation of our new realities. The Final Moments of Rebirth encapsulate all of these musings and invite you to define the phenomenon of beginning for yourself.
