I really love how Luisa brings this conversation back to advocacy and basic rights. It’s very difficult to focus on accessing mental health services (even if you feel comfortable doing so) when your basic needs are not being met. I think this conversation provides an excellent example of how basic rights, dignity, humanity, mental health, and art as well, all intersect. Additionally, it highlights how we need to view human rights through a broader lens as the impact of all of these issues overlap.
